...that the oddball/idiot/foolish/stupid/freak/annoying character to be ridiculed is invariably a white man?
Now that TV adverts (over) represent the ethnic minority (well only black) populations of the UK, how about they do something to address this ridiculous conscious bias against white men.

In the midst of all these PC ads I like the sense of humour of the BT broadband ad where a pair of poofs (one black , one white NATURALLY) are bemoaning the need for someone to sort their broadband.
And the black chap has been given the name Raheem
Am guessing someone at the agency is a Man U or Liverpool fan

The KFC one makes me laugh, plugging their 9 piece special offer and mix it with young black kids playing basketball, and people moan about racial profiling..

This has been going on for years but have you also not noticed that a lot of blokes (not all, and not me) quite like playing up to this stereotype? Which is probably why everyone is quite relaxed about these kind of portrayals.
At the end of the day my kids aren’t going to think blokes are lazy, hapless dimwits who can’t look after themselves, as that’s not what they see in their own home.

Spotting tokenism in adverts is a favourite pastime of mine.
One question - where are all these white men / black women relationships in real life? It’s every other fucking advert.
